Five years ago, we joined. It’s transformed our business totally. We were working 24/7 on almost on our business. We didn’t have systems in place. We didn’t have… We were trying to do absolutely everything. And now we are at a point where we are stepping back from our business. We’ve got a manager in place, we’ve got a team in place, which we didn’t have. Honestly, we are working on our business, not in our business anymore, and that is so freeing. We’re having holidays, we’re having time with the kids, we have weekends off, we’ve got… We’re living in the house that we wanted to live in. The goals that we’ve set, has come to fruition, basically. It’s all due to learning and implementing the stuff from Nigel, and from the EC.

I was just blown away. I read the Botty Rules, and I just thought, “Oh my gosh, I need to learn how to,” exactly what I said, “How to work on the business, not in the business.” I just had a child as well. My daughter was a few months old, my son was almost two. I remember coming to the EC events. The first six, I was just taking in, I didn’t… I was so overwhelmed by everything. I thought I knew a lot, and then I realised, I don’t know that much. It was just amazing to learn. I knew marketing was very important, and just all the little nuggets that I got from the EC, from Botty Rules to start off with, and then learning how to implement those.

Gosh, there are so many things. It is a community, so we are like the EC community. I love coming to the events, love seeing how everyone’s doing. It’s very motivating to see how the others are getting on and helping each other. I love the EC team, love Nigel, very motivational. In a way it’s also keeping you accountable, where you’re going, what you’re doing, and we kind of feed from each other as well, and obviously all the information we get.

What I love about Nigel is that he’s a real person with a real family, and he’s got real businesses, and he’s doing what he’s saying he’s doing. He’s also very open and very honest, so if he messed up, he will say it. You feel like you can relate to him. There’s other guys in other countries doing other things, but I couldn’t relate with them. To have him talking about his family and his children, it just made it more real for me.
