I must be honest and say I am not a dedicated 90 minutes girl, not because I don’t believe in it, but because it frightens me. I’ve recently realised that it’s because every time I do a 90 minutes session, I get a new client, which can be worth several thousands of pounds of work. The scary bit is because I predominantly work alone, and need to make sure I have enough time to support my existing clients.

I recently attended the Effective Email Marketing Training where another member, Jerry Lyons, told me he is a big fan of the 90 minutes. On the way home, I started thinking about some of the things that were mentioned on the course (thanks Chris Blunt!); Jerry had mentioned that he often used his uncle in some of his emails, and Chris uses Donald his dog… and I’ve now commissioned “Bury Your Head Barry” – a fictional character for my website and blogs who my customer avatar will be able to relate to.

I’ve also been ‘on it’ with my 90 minutes and got loads done including confirming the venue for my first Indoor Air Quality seminar (scary!). I’ve become a supplier for a company that sell products we recommend to our customers, after I realised I’ve been sending my clients to other companies to buy these products and missing out on commission. I’ve organised a PA group on Facebook, and made connections with them on LinkedIn to build relationships with these gatekeepers of the Executives who are my target market.

All of this from attending just one course and talking to other members…just another brilliant EC moment which has raised my motivation through the ceiling!!
