Philip Lomax owns Felbrigg Lodge Hotel. He’s learnt a lot more about his customers and prospects this week.
He sent out the EC’s 80 Hour Cash Machine email campaign to 2300 people on his database. Within 18 hours, he’d received over 100 replies from people giving him reasons why they’d not booked a room at his hotel…yet!
Over 50% said they were too busy and many more gave Phil really useful insights into what’s happening in their lives. This valuable information means he’s getting closer to his potential customers and can tailor special offers to them to factor that information in.
He’s already taken 2 confirmed bookings from this first email and has people enquiring about availability for the dates they’re interested in.
It’s made him realise that he needs to update his CRM system so it can keep better track of his prospects and customers and make more use of the data he has, so he’s upgraded that too. There are a couple more emails to go to complete the campaign, so there’ll be more bookings to come!
