2016: Your Year of Clarity

I hope 2016 is a really amazing year for you.

We’ll all face some trials and tribulations along the way, but the EC Members who will succeed the most this year will be those who are embarking upon it with crystal clear C – L – A – R – I – T – Y.
Most people do not have clarity. They might have some vague, slightly foggy idea of what they’d like their future to look like. But it’s rarely anything of substance…
Most business owners are stuck in immediate to short term objectives with little or no idea as to where those objectives are leading.
And this is a problem because, what my good friend Damian Smyth has taught me is that your mind can’t produce what it can’t see.clarity-feat
Without a clear picture to work towards, your mind only creates what occupies it. And that means that without a real clear vision, you end up doing the same things over and over again. Your wheels spin. Confusion reigns.
Take a closer look at your results for 2015.
Has your business significantly improved over the past few months?
Where’s your entrepreneurial life taking you?
Beyond paying the bills and taking care of the necessities, what’s your bigger picture?
If you can’t answer that question, or if the best you can do is come up with some kind of vague generality, then you’re lacking in vision and clarity. And clarity is an essential component of success.
The other thing I’ve discovered about clarity over the last few years is that it’s not enough to just be clear. You have to really care.
Michael Gerber spoke about this in his powerful address at our National Event in November.
You see, if you don’t care enough about the vision that you’ve articulated, then, when push comes to shove, on that metaphorical cold, dark morning in February or March, you won’t jump out of bed and do the things that are necessary – because it doesn’t matter enough.
You’ll get defeated. Distracted.
I can completely relate to and understand this.
We see it day after day within EC. Members who ostensibly want to improve their lot in life and build a more successful business, when faced with having to do some things that are outside their comfort zone, they bottle it and either do nothing or fudge it instead.
Bananarama Syndrome. bananarama
And every time that happens, it’s because they don’t care enough.
Caring does bring with it a burden. When you care deeply, you can’t let go. Or walk away.
When you care, you HAVE to do the right things. Whatever’s necessary.
Whatever it takes. Loads of EC Members have got great ideas. There’s no shortage of ambition and drive.
But there are lots of EC Members who don’t yet care enough about the vision that they’ve got to ever make it a reality. And for them, 2016 will be another year of trundling along. And trundling’s okay. It’s what most people do. Nothing wrong with a trundle.
But trundlers rarely change lives (their own or anyone else’s). And they never change the world.
I promise you, it would have been a lot easier to leave EC exactly where it was in 2015. We could have trundled nicely into the New Year. But that’s what it would have been. A trundle.
And know, now, that Nige is NOT for trundling.
I know how much we can help entrepreneurs who have a degree of clarity – and who care. Really care. That’s when we have a massive impact on a whole load of people. That’s why we exist: to educate, motivate, help, inspire business owners who have clarity, to achieve more than they ever thought possible. It’s a worthy quest and I am genuinely thrilled and excited at the prospect of helping you in your enterprise this year.
Happy New Year – and please, make the most of everything that the EC has to o er because with it on your side, your success this year will surely be greater and more magnificent than you ever thought it could be … talk soon.
